Painting Requirements

The baking temperature is relatively low, providing excellent sparkling silver decorative effects, good weather resistance, and excellent aging resistance.

Construction Process

Substrate Preparation: First, polish the substrate or primer using a 320-grit sandpaper, followed by a 400-600-grit sandpaper. Ensure the substrate is smoothly polished and free of visible sand marks.

Paint Preparation: Mix 20% water into the water-based silver baking paint, stir evenly, and filter for later use. Mix 15% water into the water-based clear gloss baking paint, stir evenly, and filter for later use. (Alternatively, you can choose to reduce the solid content during paint preparation and not dilute it during application.)

Spraying Water-Based Silver Baking Paint: The prepared water-based silver baking paint can be sprayed directly. Precautions are as follows:

① Ensure the workpiece is dust-free.

② Use slightly higher air pressure and less paint for spraying (dry spraying). Avoid spraying too thickly, aiming for good coverage of the paint film.

③If there are wrinkles in the spray paint film, it means that the amount of paint is too much, which will affect the subsequent overall leveling effect.

Drying of Water-Based Silver Baking Paint:

After spraying the water-based silver baking paint, let it dry at room temperature or bake at a low temperature until it is superficially dry. (It usually takes about 10 minutes to achieve superficial dryness, and the drying time can be extended appropriately.)

Spraying Water-Based Clear Gloss Paint:

Spray the prepared clear gloss paint directly onto the workpiece that has been coated with the silver baking paint as mentioned above. Note that the coating film should not be too thick.

Drying of Water-Based Clear Gloss Paint:

After spraying, let it stand at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before placing it in a 140°C oven.

Bake at 140°C for 30 minutes. * After baking, the total film thickness of the two coatings is approximately 40um.
